Growing up with a mother whose beauty collection is explicitly Chanel; lets just say I have always enjoyed the finer things in life. I suppose when you are exposed to the world of CoCo from the age of 5 that is probably going to happen. So a few months back when I was scrolling through the blogosphere and came across a post about the latest Daniel Wellington watch, I knew I needed it. So what did I do? I sent the link to my family and kindly reminded them that I was graduating in the summer and it would be a perfect gift. Now if I am honest, after sending that message to my family, I completely forgot about the watch so I when I opened up two Daniel Wellington boxes last week, I was more than surprised.
I don’t know if this is just my mum but she has a huge issue with jewellery not matching. So when other members of my family asked what to get me, naturally is was the matching bracelet. The bracelet is an elegant rose gold band with the words Daniel Wellington engraved. For me personally, this is not a daily accessory. This is a piece of jewellery that will only be worn on special occasions (or potentially when I have a tan, my hair is washed and I’m feeling amazing).
The watch on the other hand makes the perfect daily accessory. As I’ve grown older, I feel that the type of watch a person wears reflects an awful lot on their personality. Now I’m not saying that because I have a petit and elegant watch that I am a dainty butterfly because well that’s far from the truth. However, I now know that I don’t need the biggest and boldest watch on the planet to look sophisticated.
All in all I have to say that I have fallen in love with Daniel Wellington. Although I was well aware of Mr Wellington’s existence (founder Filip Tysander), up until now I could not say I was a proud owner. Well now I can and I am well and truly chuffed!
So if you’re looking for the perfect gift for someone you love, I would definitely recommend visiting the Daniel Wellington website!
